Below are pretty flowers for Andy.
This page is for family pets. They are a big part of our lives, part of our families. They bring smiles and happiness to us.
Tiny was family pet of my family Albert Ray Nygrin, Jr & Edith Mae Townsend Nygrin, and my sister Lynda Darnell Nygrin Herrin and myself Glynda Janell Nygrin Reed. Tiny lived a very long time and died of old age. She would sleep with us. She would lay on my daddy's stomach when we were watching tv. Daddy would take 'her' sock and throw it, she would jump off his stomach, go get it and bring it back to him. She would go swimming with us. We would put her in the water, she would get those little legs going and get out as fast as she could. She added so much to all our lives. She was a true blessing from God.

When Kevyn Reed was young we had a Boston Terrior named Christmas. This dog was constantly digging under the fence to get out of of the backyard. Neighbors would bring him home because he had a name tag. The last time he got out, nobody brought him back. We accepted it, and just hoped his new home was happier for him.
Lucky was pet of Kevyn Janell Reed, parents Glynda Nygrin Reed & Raymond Holbrook Reed. Kevyn found this dog at her school running around. Kevyn convinced mom to take him home. Kevyn was in elementary school. Lucky died on 09/28/09 from old age. When Lucky was younger he spent his whole day chasing birds. He did not like birds. He always had his tongue hanging down. He loved most people, except Kevyn's nephew Andre James McLelland. For some reason, Lucky would ONLY growl at him. This dog would eat anything and everything. He always got along with cats. We still miss him very much. The backyard is lonely and empty without him. He is buried at Bastrop, where Kevyn has land.
This duck was raised from a very young duck by Raymond Holbrook Reed and Kevyn Janell Reed. The duck stayed in the backyard. After some time, the duck was taken to Taylor City Park, in Taylor, Texas for a new home location.
This tabby cat, named Bubba, was family pet but Glynda Janell Nygrin Reed was mama. This cat never scratched anybody. He was so mild mannered. What a sweetheart!! Once I ran over him with my truck wheel, and he survived. I had to hand feed him and nurse him back to health. He was so trust worthy. He was not a lap cat. Only time he would jump in my lap is when he got scared in a vet's office. Then he acted like a scared kitten and wanted to be held. He did live many years and died in year 2011. He is buried in Bastrop, Tx at our family pet cemetary.
This is NEE NEE. She was not very friendly until she got older. She was attached to me, especially the older she got. She loved jumping on the roof. Here she is sleeping on top of house. Somehow, she hurt her eye and became blind in that eye. When she got older she would jump on my recliner and sit on the arm. I would look her way and the poor thing was slumped over sleeping. She had to be close to me. She lived a very long time. She is missed. She is also buried in the family pet cementary in Bastrop, Tx.
These are not twins. Andy, in cage, is Kevyn Janell Reed's cat. Other cat is Hobo, Glynda Nygrin Reed's cat. Andy came into our lives several years ago, when Kevyn was a freshman in college. This was in 2005. He died 4/16/2014 from a lung infection. Kevyn was with him to the end when the vet put him to sleep.
Andy was not an outside cat, he stayed inside most times. Hobo was neighborhood stray cat that went from neighbor to neighbor looking for food and companionship. That is why his name is Hobo. I took him in. He still likes to roam the neighborhood but everyone knows where he lives.
These two cats did like playing with each other. I sometimes would baby-sit Andy when Kevyn was busy or on trips. These two cats would play early in the morning like kittens, scurrying around chasing each other. I would put Andy outside in the cage. He always expected this be the routine in the morning when I got out of bed. That was 'our' routine. My yard had birds to watch.
