Jens P. Carlson (03/03/1868-04/21/1937) and his wife Annie M. Carlson 05/14/1878-05/04/1963 was the parents of my grandmother Caroline Carlson Nygrin, who was married to Albert Nygrin, Sr my grandfather. They are the 1st generation of the Carlson family starting in Hutto. The 1920 Census record shows that J. Pete Carlson, was 51 and his wife Annie M. Carlson was 42 yrs old. They both were born in Denmark. They immigrated to US in 1894 from Denmark. Their 3 children were born in Texas. Jens could read and write. Children listed are Antonio was 20 yrs old, Albert was 17 yrs old, and Annie was 15 years old.
Jens and Annie Carlson are buried in the Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hutto, Texas. Grandmother's sister, Aunt Annie Carlson Bryan is buried in the Taylor City Cemetery with her husband Jessie Bryan. Following is picture of my Great Aunt Annie Carlson Bryan (sister of my grandmother Caroline Carlson Nygrin) , and my mother Edith Mae Townsend Nygrin, at my wedding in 1978. Aunt Annie was approximately 73 yrs old in this photo. Mom was approximately 53 yrs old.
Annie E Carlson Bryan was my grandmothet's sister. Below is the 1930 Census. She was 23 yrs old and her husband Jessie J. Bryan was 28 years old. Annie E Carlson Bryan (06/18/1905-03/17/1997) and her husband Jessie J. Bryan (12/07/1901-06/25/1975) are buried in Taylor City Cemetery, Taylor, Texas. They had no children.
Albert E Carlson, Sr was my grandmother's brother. Below is the 1940 census. He was married to Maude E Carlson. He was 38, Maude was 31. Their children, Margarita was 13, Albert Jr was 11, Lorene was 9 and J. P. was 4. They are both buried in the Taylor City Cemetery. Albert E Carlson, Sr was born 01/29/1902 and died 04/23/1958. She was born 10/08/1908 and died 01/09/1982.
