I enjoyed visiting my Alexander grandparents. When I was very young I could not say Alexander so I called them grandma and gramdpa X. They were farmers and worked land near Hutto, Tx. Grandma X is remembered for her beautiful homemade Cherry layer cakes. They usually had a garden and one year grandma X raised a good crop of strawberries. We would pick green beans, she always had plenty. I enjoyed visiting with my Aunt Martha Lou, she was a little older than me. I enjoyed playing in her bedroom where she had plenty of big girl stuff.
